Winter CONFERENCE 2026
Joy in the midst of hardship
FEBRUARY 6-8 | Rockbridge
about the conference
You are invited to join other college students from schools throughout western Virginia for a weekend of fun, learning, worship, and community. Winter Conference takes place at Rockbridge Young Life camp near Lexington, Virginia. This is a great place to get outside for a hike, play any number of games and sports, climb on a ropes course, or cozy up with hot cocoa and board games.
Our speaker, Claude Atcho, will be leading us in a study of Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Claude shares, “It’s easy to forget that Philippians is a prison letter — it is written by an apostle in utter crisis and physical suffering. Yet, the letter’s constant refrain is that of joy. Philippians bears witness to a hope that is not tied to our circumstances. Paul lives by another logic—he lives as one who knows Christ as a citizen of his kingdom. The controlling lens through which Paul sees, lives, and thinks is the story of Jesus, which brings us into the Kingdom of God. What we need most in our lives is not simply a change of situations but to live into the new logic as citizens of the Kingdom —the exact transformation God desires to bring about in us through this ancient letter.”
Join with us as we explore finding joy in the midst of our own circumstances.
