Richmond spring break

ABOUT

Richmond is a growing and diverse city with layers of culture and history to explore. During the Richmond spring break week, you’ll get to experience the city through the eyes of local residents and leaders. As you spend time with nonprofits and ministries doing restorative work in the city, you’ll grow alongside your student community by learning how to become a good neighbor. The rhythms of the week will guide you to reflect more deeply on your own story and how you show up in the world. You’ll come away better equipped to love your neighbor in your own context.

Each day we’ll have at least one opportunity to engage the community directly through hands-on learning experiences or service. Service projects will be determined weekly by our nonprofit partners but will typically include one day of outdoor physical work and one day of working with kids and teens. We will also receive teaching and training from local leaders, with ample time for discussion, reflection, and prayer.

Richmond Spring Break is open to all students from InterVarsity chapters in the Virginia region. Please talk to your IV staff about attending!
